Aberrant Mark of Scribing
Benefit Choose four languages. You can speak, read, and write those languages fluently. When you gain a level, you can retrain one of these languages instead of a feat, a power, or a skill.
You gain a +2 bonus to Diplomacy checks.
You can master and perform rituals as if you had the Ritual Caster feat. Furthermore, you can create scrolls in half the normal time (that is, the same amount of time it takes to create a ritual book).

Destructive Wizardry
Benefit When you use an arcane attack power and hit two or more creatures, you gain a +2 bonus to that power’s damage rolls. This bonus increases to +3 at 11th level and to +4 at 21st level.

978 Abandoned on Griffonclaw farm, Cyre. Parents (adoptive) Garen and Lyrianna Griffonclaw.

990 After showing some measure of magical aptitude, Gareth is accepted to the White Lotus Academy in the fields of Aundair. Aundair and Cyre are allies in the War. Interstate transport should be a simple matter.

994 After 4 years of schooling, Gareth comes home for a visit, arriving home on the [[Day of Mourning]]. Finds mother at home in south and escapes the Mist by heading West, to Darguun, joining thousands of other refugees. Learns his father is at the Karnnathi border to the far north driving back a counter-assault. Father’s whereabouts unknown after the Mourning.
Darguuni goblins attack and slaughter Cyran refugees heading west. Gareth’s mother is murdered. Gareth escapes to [[Breland]].
Lives in squalor in New Cyre refugee camps for several months before relocating to [[Sharn]].

994 – 996 Becomes involved in petty crime rackets, stealing food, running drugs, etc, using abilities to set up many aliases.
Saves innocents from physical harm from thugs, prevents rapes, catches murderers. During this time, Gareth is approached by a secretive group to become a member. The representative refuses to say who sent her or why. When he refuses to join, the representative tells Gareth she has some info about his father, and intimates that he may be in the Lhazaar Principalities.
Gareth learns of a prisoner detail headed to Dreadhold in the Lhazaar Pricipalities, and volunteers.
